My work is about creating a whimsical moment out of discarded urban materials, predominantly corrugated iron and metals.

Themes hark back to childhood , characters I’ve met .
Its all about finding a discarded object which to me is unusual or interesting.

The work then evolves around the object.

Using assemblage techniques, wiring and pop-rivetting , and sometimes welding parts, I am able to illustrate a moment. The process can be likened to writing a story.

I do it because I am compelled to collect and transform these precious objects.
